CultureTalk Workshop Modules

After a group has taken the CultureTalk Survey, it’s natural to wonder what’s next. How will you integrate what you’ve learned about your team’s strengths and challenges into your plans for moving forward? There are many ideas in your CultureTalk Report to help you get started.

These seven culture workshop modules are designed to take you even further. Facilitated by one of our Certified Culture Coaches, we’ll help you share your results, better understand why they are showing up and put a plan in place to meet your organization’s specific goals. Use all seven in succession, or customize a program for your team.

A CultureTalk Workshop will create a culture experience for your leadership team, individual department, or entire company.

1. An Introduction to Cultural Storytelling

Purpose: to explain Archetypes and how they are used in understanding and developing authentic, transparent communications

  • What are Archetypes?
  • 12 distinct Archetypal characters and how their behaviors impact team dynamics
  • Creating an authentic and emotional connection through stories
  • Brand stories (using case studies) and Archetypes

2. Your Organization’s CultureTalk Results

Purpose: to review the results of your CultureTalk survey and explain the existing Archetypes and behavior patterns

  • A visual overview of CultureTalk survey results
  • An explanation of the Archetypes present in the organization. The results may be organization-wide, departmental, or both and may include individual profiles, if elected
  • A group discussion and validation of the survey results and the information gathered from prior interviews

3. Archetypal Role Playing

Purpose: to actualize the group’s understanding of archetypal behaviors in a workplace scenario. A group exercise tests and demonstrates values, strengths, and shadow behaviors.

  • The moderator presents a situation and individuals or small groups respond in a voice of an archetypal profile randomly selected from a stack of Archetype cards
  • The small groups may represent various departments of the organization or may be individual teams within one department
  • Moderator will observe the response “voice” and offer feedback to create effective understanding of archetypal profiles

4. Leadership and Culture Shift

Purpose: to identify organizational and leadership strengths and potential culture shift requirements

  • Identify overall strategic goals and personal goals of leadership
  • How do the archetypal patterns or individual leaders support or hinder their roles and departmental responsibilities?
  • Explore any desired organizational shifts into new patterns that would better help meet goals and discuss what behaviors and activities would help to create that shift

5. Crafting Your Culture Code

Purpose: to create a set of organizational belief statements that represent the culture

  • Group views a presentation on Culture Code and receives direction from facilitator on how to develop one
  • Small groups create and present belief statements about why the organization does what it does, what the organization stands for, and how these ideals are reflected in its culture
  • The group will come to consensus after a presentation of all ideas

6. Your Employment Brand

Purpose: to identify key characteristics of engaged and successful employees as well as necessary skills and attitudes to meet strategic goals

  • Group will share specific employee behaviors and outcomes that get noticed, recognized, and rewarded, then align them with archetypal patterns
  • A discussion will explore whether these behaviors support the organization’s strategic goals
  • We’ll create strong recruiting messages that capitalize on your employment brand and bring to life the unwritten rules of engagement

7. Wrap Up and Action Plan

Purpose: an opportunity for group reflection and next steps

  • The team agrees on actionable next steps and preliminary timeline
  • Follow-up meetings can be arranged as checkpoints, coaching sessions or deeper dives into individual challenges on implementation
  • Strong recommendation: The “rule of three” is applied – three immediate next steps and three checkpoints
